History: Witness Me.
Personality: Furiosa is in herself a marriage of contrasts. She was raised in a female-dominated tribe, but abducted and dragged into a viciously patriarchal society at a tender age. This makes her able to see things from both a Vuvalini perspective--where freedom, growing things, and defending your own are paramount--and a War Boy perspective--where glory and sacrifice are all-important. She is very much the strong silent type, because she's learned allowing other people to make assumptions about what's going on in your head is strategically advantageous, but she is also socially canny and knows how to build bridges for the sake of group progress, as in the film where she offers Max the ability to get free of his muzzle in exchange for him allowing her and the Wives to re-enter the War Rig.
The world she's used to is so ruthless, she tends to read any lack of ruthlessness in the people around her either as an overture of friendship or a sign they're squeamish.
On the flip side, she does have softer leanings. She will always be gentle with children, she loves plants, and animals fascinate her. If you put her in a garden or a lush wooded landscape, she will never want to leave. She is capable of reading, writing, music, and speaks fragments of several different languages, but none of that comes in handy too much on the Fury Road so she doesn't consider it a great accomplishment.
Furiosa's dialogue is always tricky for me to write, because in the firm she is very taciturn. The movie tends to use imagery to convey story, rather than dialogue, and while Furiosa speaks a lot more than Max, she's not chatty. In her normal state, she will restrict her chatter to short responses and will only offer more than is asked of her if she's convinced it's something the other party really really needs to know.
While Furiosa is held up as one of the two major heroes of the picture, and is in many ways treated more sympathetically than Max himself, it's important to consider that she rose to the rank of Imperator in the Immortan's cult. To achieve that, she would have had to prove herself as just as fanatically loyal and willing to slaughter innocents as any of the men, if not more so. There is a scene in which Max asks her what she's looking for on the journey they've undertaken. Her answer is "Redemption", and the viewer is meant to feel the weight of her past in that moment. She has done truly terrible things to survive and thrive.
Appearance: Furiosa is on the tall side for a human woman, 5'10", and lean but muscled. Her natural hair color is medium-brown, but it's cut very short and often covered with Imperator blacking so it's hard to tell that at a glance. Her eyes are a slate-green color. She has assorted scars, most notable being the Immortan's brand on the back of her neck (which she has covered with tattoos of leaves in the aftermath of the revolution), and the fact that she's missing her left arm from a few inches below the elbow. She wears a metal and leather prothesis, which contains a model airplane motor and battery and runs on that and hydraulics.
By default, she'll show up wearing her outfit from the movie, which consists of mismatched boots, moto pants, a stained gauzy top, a dark corset (to support her back while driving), and several belts.
How Do You Think They'll React to Being In Parthas? While she believes in goddesses in the abstract, the fact that she's in a position where someone who purports to be divine insists they have some kind of claim on her body is not going to make her happy. She will not speak to the divinities unless she's in a position where there's no other recourse at all. Her first actions will be to establish survival mechanisms for herself; after that, she'll be willing to befriend and assist other residents and potentially look for ways to get out of Parthas.
Where sex is concerned, she's bisexual, with slight F/F leanings, but she will never consent to being dominated by a man unless some incredibly powerful drugs are involved, and there are likely to be negative CR consequences regardless. She does have a sex drive and she's perfectly willing to top, gently or roughly, but survival and practicality will be her first considerations. Generally, I think of her as more likely to form romantic attachments with women, but equally sexually attracted to all genders.
She may analyze the other residents in the light of their ability to survive and adapt to whatever odd situations the place throws at them, and she's likely to consider many of them hopelessly soft, since they're used to having as much water and food as they need without having to shank anyone for it. She won't say that, but she'll think it.
Sample(s)? Reverse isekai with Otto Octavius
Multi-player plot-heavy thread in Nexus_Crossings in which Furiosa gets to drive like a crazy person.
Anything Else? Furiosa, like the War Boys, has clothing with as many pockets as possible, which means she carries a ridiculous amount of equipment in her pants and on her belts. She will arrive with three canteens, two knives, a sidearm (Taurus PT99AF) with a full clip, a few aloe leaves, which she carries to soothe her arm, and some bars of food wrapped in dry grass and old fabric. She will also, of course, have her prosthesis.
